Medical Cannabis New South Wales

Do you live in the New South Wales area and are interested in obtaining medical marijuana to help with your medical conditions and improve your quality of life? New South Wales was one of the first Australian states to legalize medical cannabis for prescribing patients as an effective way to treat symptoms associated with certain medical illnesses. But not only is it a safe and effective treatment, but it actually works. The NSW government allows cannabis growth, as well as administration in a few ways, whether it be oils, edibles, patches, oral sprays, and more.

How Cannabinoids Work

A lot of patients aren’t aware of the differences between the two major cannabinoids.

Cannabinoids are naturally occurring compounds found in cannabis plants, with the main two being THC and CBD. The compounds found in these strains interact with the cannabinoid receptors in our bodies (CB1 and CB2) and affect the way we think, feel, and act. But, the way THC and CBD make us feel is very different, the main difference being THC can make you feel “high” as it interacts with your brain and controls your pain and mood. THC is being extracted from the marijuana plant, whereas CBD is from hemp, so there’s no way it can make you high. That’s why you may even see CBD as an ingredient in things like shampoos and conditioners or body washes or creams.

CBD and THC have started to be studied a lot more by doctors looking to treat patients with a specific illness or who are diagnosed with
certain conditions like:

Chronic Pain

Anxiety

Depression

Neuropathic Pain

Multiple Sclerosis

PTSD

Migraine

IBS

Cancer Pain

Palliative Care

Epilepsy

Chemotherapy-induced Nausea and Vomiting

Fibromyalgia

Spasticity from Neurological Conditions

Anorexia and Wasting Associated with Chronic Illness

Chronic Insomnia

Do You Qualify?

Not just everyone can qualify for a prescription for medicinal cannabis. Before the federal government announced it was legal, doctors looking to prescribe their patient medical cannabis had to go through a strict approval process. The state and the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) required paperwork outlining the patient’s diagnoses and belief behind how medical marijuana would help improve their illness. Now, legally obtaining a prescription is much easier but, you must have a known medical condition or be able to prove medical cannabis really is treating your symptoms.

We Offer Free Consultations

What Is Telehealth?

Telehealth is a way doctors can connect with patients online. You can still talk to them face-to-face through video chat, therefore, you can still meet, it’s just more convenient if you live further away, or are unable to travel due to your illness or condition. It’s perfectly safe and still remains 100% discreet. It can also save you travelling costs!
