As you may be aware Medicinal Cannabis is currently a ‘non-approved’ and ‘non registered’ product in Australia. Medicinal Cannabis is available under three TGA pathways for patients under the care of qualified medical practitioners that provide the appropriate prescription.
There are 3 ways to become approved to use medicinal cannabis as medicine. The prescribing physician must apply to the TGA using the following pathways: Clinical Trials, Authorized Prescriber or using the Special Access Scheme.
